VISION
Jon Currin
Visionary / OWNER
Jon’s passion for outdoor living began at an early age, working alongside his family on construction sites. There, he developed a hands-on understanding of hardscapes, carpentry, and custom outdoor design, while learning the importance of craftsmanship and customer care. He earned his undergraduate degree in Horticulture with a concentration in Landscape Design from NC State University, followed by a Master’s in Landscape Architecture. Jon is passionate about creating thoughtfully designed, beautiful outdoor spaces that enhance the way people live and connect with their environment.
In 2015, Jon and his brother founded Currin Outdoor Living with a vision to combine artful design and skilled execution. Today, Jon is the sole owner and visionary - he oversees the luxury pool designs and overall company growth.
Jon lives in Raleigh, NC, with his wife and 4 children. When he’s not designing, you’ll find him traveling with his family, enjoying a good glass of wine with his wife, or at a Canes’ game.
Jason Hanna
DESIGN DIRECTOR
Jason began his career in the outdoor living space in college when he began studying architecture at NCSU before graduating in Landscape Horticulture. Jason joined Currin Outdoor Living in 2021 and now serves as Design Director.
In his role, Jason leads the design team, manages client consultations, and oversees the conceptual development of outdoor living spaces—from initial vision to ready-to-build plans.
He lives in Wendell, NC, with his wife and children. Jason enjoys playing disc golf, guitar, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Robert Tidwell
BUILD DIRECTOR
Robert studied Landscape Architecture at NC State, where he developed his passion for building outdoor environments that are both functional and beautiful. His practical knowledge of field operations, construction sequencing, and client service has made him a vital part of Currin Outdoor Living’s success. Robert joined the team in 2022 and now leads as Build Director.
He oversees the execution of construction projects, coordinates field crews, and ensures that designs come to life with quality and accuracy.
Robert lives in Durham, NC. In his free time, he enjoys woodworking, hiking, and experimenting with native plantings in his own backyard.
Jacob Hitch
MAINTENANCE DIRECTOR
Jacob began his love of landscaping when he attended vocational school with a curriculum focused on horticulture. He learned at a young age about maintaining gardens, golf courses, and landscapes, and how to lead through his education. Jacob attended The Ohio State University and graduated with an Associate of Applied Sciences majoring in Landscape Horticulture.
In 2017, Jacob became a Certified Landscape Technician (CLT), specializing in Ornamental Horticulture through the National Association of Landscape Professionals. Jacob joined Currin Outdoor Living in 2020 as the Maintenance Director. He manages crew schedules, maintenance sales, snow removal, and installation-to-maintenance turnovers.
Jacob and his dog, Skye, live in Raleigh, NC. He is passionate about cooking, baking, attending sporting events, and spending time with his Fiancé.
